Welcome to John Zielke Racing :: QLD - "Home of Quality Thoroughbreds"

With a knack of finding a good two-year-old and a value for money purchase - these unique and highly sought after qualities amongst many others are what sets John Zielke’s Clifford Park Toowoomba establishment ahead of the rest!

Having taken out his trainer’s license in 1988 John attacked the game fiercely and came out on-top acquiring leading stock from the sales ring for mere amounts time and time again. The most recognized of these was Our Civic Hope who took out the J.F. Meynink Stakes and Queensland Millions on top of his five consecutive wins which kicked off his career.

Showing a willingness to travel and confidence to back his judgment, in 2004 John landed the ultimate prize in racing notching a stakes win during the famous Melbourne Cup Carnival with Kengrande - well worth the plane flight south to racings headquarters, Flemington!

Keeping numbers capped to around 20 horses at any one time the stables philosophy prides itself on providing a dedicated boutique and hands-on experience both for there horses and owners.

John supports local breeders having purchased or bred horses with: Glenlogan Park, Raheen Stud, Oakwood Farm, Oaklands Stud, Muskoka Park, Murrulla Stud, Wattle Brae Stud, Noralla Stud, Craiglea Stud, Three Bridges Thoroughbreds, etc just to name a few.

If you want to experience racehorse ownership with an Interstate Group winning trainer at an affordable entry level there is no better place to start than 'John Zielke Racing' and his dedicated team at Caloundra, less than 1hrs drive from Brisbane.

John has recently been rewarded with his successful return to training with winning several awards in his 1st full year back.

He educated and Guided 'Royal Tithe' to win '2yo of the year', 'Qtis 2yo of the year', 'Qtis 2yo trainer of the year', PLUS finished the season ranked #1 for 2yo strike-rate NATIONALLY.
